Roy Machado – Owner
Roy Machado is the Creative Director and Supervising Sound Editor for Dallas Audio Post. With over two decades of experience in film, television and advertising production, Roy has brought well-rounded knowledge to clients including ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox TV, ESPN, Netflix, Universal Pictures, and Sony Pictures as well as to corporate clients including Pepsi, Sam’s Club, Penguin Random House, Unilever, AT&T and BP . Roy specializes in large scale media deployments: political advertising campaigns, national advertising campaigns and episodic TV shows seen by audiences across the globe. His Spanish/English bilingual skills facilitate these productions in both languages.
As the leader of the Dallas Audio Post team, Roy continues to expand his knowledge in all aspects of audio and post- production. He studied music performance and composition as well as radio/television and film at the University of North Texas. He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, Texas Motion Picture Alliance and The Society of Professional Recording Arts Services. He enjoys playing the guitar, working out, and spending time with his family.
Rene Coronado joined Dallas Audio Post in 1999 as an Audio Engineer and became Lead Sound Designer soon thereafter. In his role as lead sound designer his responsibilities include creating custom sound effects and foley for a large array of websites, TV shows, films and live events. From the beginning René has worked closely with the Dallas Stars and the Texas Rangers on both broadcast and in-game presentations. In addition to several others, he was the lead sound designer in the film El Descubrimiento (The Finding), which won the Juried Award at the Short Shorts Film Festival in Mexico City in 2009 and All She Can, an official Sundance Selection 2011. René has also been an ADR recordist for Fox TV, Warner Brothers and Sony Pictures and he was audio team lead for voice recording on video games such as Brothers in Arms-Earned in Blood, Dragonball Z: Budokai 3 and Spikeout Battlestreet. René graduated with an AAS in Sound Technology from South Plains College in 1999. As part of the team he continues to expand his knowledge in all aspects of audio production. Brad Dale joined Dallas Audio Post in 2007 as a Music Supervisor/Composer after spending seven years as Chief Sound Designer at AMS Production Group. Brad is a cross-genre music composer who has worked with numerous major labels and artists. Some of his credits include original music composition for the “I Am Second” campaign, dialogue editorial on Catacombs (Lions Gate Films) and his work is published throughout multiple international electronic music record labels. With over a decade in the music and post production industry, Brad has produced cutting edge sound and music for clients including Sony Music Group, Microsoft, Universal Music Group, BBDO, GSD&M, Warner Brothers and Apple. Brad studied jazz, composition and music of world cultures at the University of North Texas and sound design at Full Sail Recording Arts Academy. In his free time he writes music, produces music with his band Ishi, travels and enjoys being outdoors.
A former intern, Stephan Sanchez joined the Dallas Audio Post team in 2016. Before his hire–in addition to working on personal projects–he worked as a live audio engineer for events of all sizes at Showtech Productions. His passion for both production and post production sound emerged while recording choirs, ensembles, and jazz bands as the front of house engineer for the School of Music at SFASU. He worked extensively with the film department on a few feature length and short films, editing and adding sound design. Steve is an avid gamer, enjoys the outdoors, and spends his free time camping, fishing, and riding his bike.
