Data Security and ISO Certification

Protecting Client Content

At Dallas Audio Post, data security has always been important to us, and our decades-long track record of protecting the integrity and security of our client’s data stands on its own.

In 2019, the company engaged Critical Start, an award-winning security services firm, to assess our data infrastructure and certify ISO 27002 compliance. ISO/IEC 27002 represents a popular, internationally-recognized standard of good practice for information security, frequently required by security-conscious clients including Netflix and U.S. government agencies.

The Evaluation Process

The evaluation process examined data security practices, physical infrastructure, staff training, and insurance coverage. While baseline standards were strong, the assessment identified refinements needed to reduce risk further, including additional security cameras and enhanced documentation of backup and archival systems.

Ongoing Compliance

Compliance demands ongoing disclosure of firewall logs and periodic system testing to prevent unauthorized access to client proprietary data. This isn’t a one-time certification—it requires continuous vigilance and documentation.

We invite clients to review certification documentation and emphasize our commitment to treating project data with the care and respect that it deserves.
